Music Promotion, Marketing

and Merchandising

You have had your music CD professionally recorded,  engineered,  mastered and duplicated.  Now that you have cases of your music CDs,  how on earth will you be able to sell them all?  If you are a well established band you might not have any trouble selling a few hundred CDs,  but wouldn't it be nice to sell thousands upon thousands?  We can help!  Listed below are things you can (and should) do to promote your band and your music.....

1)  Get out there and play live!!!

Anywhere and everywhere you can play your music live,  you should.  Even if you don't make alot of money on the gig,  you are still creating a following and growing interest in your christian music.

2)  Christian Radio Airplay

If you are really talented we can help you to get the radio airplay that will take you to the next level of recognition.  David Brogdon has alot of contacts around the world that can help to get your music heard by Christian music lovers everywhere.

3)  Have a Web Site Designed

You should have a website created with music samples,  concert info and much more.  Some web sites offer to build one for free,  Check out a few of the sites they built to be sure they can do what you want.  Remember that your website is the window through which much of the world can look upon you and hear your christian music.

4)  Promote your website

A big banner for all your concerts and gigs displaying your web address is a must.  Paying someone to really promote your website online will get more people to your site to hear your music and with any luck they'll buy a CD and a songbook or other merchandise.  Don't fall for the "submit your site to 1000 search engines" or the like,  At best you might get a couple of visitors a day,  Worse case scenario is your site can get permanetly banned from some of the major seach engines.

5)  Song - Music Books

A great marketing gimmick is a songbook that includes your lyrics and chords so your fans can sing and play along with the CD.

6)  Tee Shirts, cups, key chains, posters

These are excellent money makers once you have an established band,  and they also help to promote your band and your christian music.

7)  Ads in music magazines

These can range in price from $50 on up to over $1000,  if you are interested in pursuing this we can help you to find good christian music magazines to run an ad in.
